Our core philosophy is that AI is a tool to increase productivity and unlock creativity, allowing you to focus on what really matters and get it done in half the time. It should never replace a job or the human element of creativity.

JAMES WOLK.

Founder · Creative Director · Filmmaker

James Wolk has spent more than 15 years on professional film and television sets as a technical crew member in the camera, tech and lighting departments, working as a Lead AC, Digital Imaging Technician, camera operator and technical supervisor. His work spans micro-crew, high-stakes follow documentaries, reality TV with VIP talent, live sports and stage shows with crews of more than 200, and narrative episodic and feature work for the world’s leading streamers, networks, brands and companies.

James earned his cinema degree from San Francisco State University with an emphasis in documentary filmmaking, where he developed an intense passion for creative writing and nonfiction storytelling. Always looking for the next story that needs to be told, he has built a slate of original documentary pitches and non-scripted concepts and, most recently, has begun building products and AI tools. He founded FORT to pair the discipline of high-end production and design with AI-native tools, to bring his own and others’ stories and products to life, and to offer an end-to-end creative and venture pipeline to clients of every size.
